Jericho, a resident of Quirino province, overcame significant challenges to pursue higher education through a municipal scholarship and support from TESDA. Living independently in a boys' dormitory, he learned about same-sex relationships, which he initially found unfamiliar but later accepted. After graduating, he moved to Manila, where he faced financial difficulties and resorted to becoming a callboy, leading to a significant health crisis when he discovered he was HIV-positive. This prompted his return to his province for treatment, where he began to recover.

With determination, Jericho improved his health and successfully passed the Board Exam for Licensed Teachers, securing a stable job. He is now a permanent employee and has been promoted to Teacher III while working towards his Master's Degree. The AVES Civil Society Organization Inc. played a crucial role in his recovery and personal growth, providing him with support and a sense of community.
