What We Do

ADOLESCNCE:

The Adolescence Program aims to support adolescents in coping with challenges during this important developmental stage. It focuses on issues like self-esteem, identity formation, relationships, mental health and more. The program provides education, counseling and mentorship for adolescents. There are likely workshops, seminars, after school activities and support groups for teenagers.

VOLUNTEERISM:

The program recruits, trains and places volunteers to support the various initiatives and activities of the organization. This helps extend the reach and impact of AVES while engaging community members. Volunteers likely assist with programs focused on adolescents, the environment, civil society and other causes within AVES’s mission. They serve as mentors, tutors, event organizers, office assistants and more. The program likely provides orientation and training for volunteers to ensure they understand AVES’s goals, policies and best practices for their roles. Ongoing support and supervision is also likely offered.

EDUCATION:

The program aims to educate and raise awareness about issues relevant to AVES’s social mission. This could include topics like adolescent development, environmental sustainability, civil society and social responsibility & HIV/AIDS awareness. Workshops, seminars, conferences and other educational sessions are likely offered to provide knowledge and skills training. These may target adolescents, parents, educators, community leaders and the general public.

SALUBRITY:

Salubrity refers to health and wellbeing, and this program aims to enhance both physical and mental health, particularly for adolescents and the LGBT+ community, who often encounter higher health risks. It is designed to offer health education, along with resources and information to promote awareness of healthy habits, nutrition, hygiene, injury prevention, substance abuse risks, and mental wellbeing.
